Qualifications:
Dr Morris completed his M.A. and PhD in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. He is a registered psychologist with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ).
Dr. Morris has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including the MUHC Addictions Unit, and the MUHC Early Psychosis Unit, along with schools, university counselling centres, and private clinics.
Approach:
When working with clients, Dr. Morris strives to develop a therapeutic atmosphere of safety, trust, compassion and unconditional support, through which he can lead his clients to live more genuine, meaningful lives. He helps his clients understand the core issues that are causing their distress and then works to develop concrete goals and solutions. Dr. Morris uses a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) to help people change their unhealthy thinking patterns and manage intense emotions.

Anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, anger management, psychotic disorders, distress related to illness, life transitions (parenthood, perinatality, grief, death), and interpersonal difficulties.
Qualifications:
Alexandra obtained a master's degree in Psychiatry and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from McGill university. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at UQAM. Alexandra is registered as a doctoral candidate in psychology with the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec.
Approach:
Alexandra's therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the individual's needs. Her practice draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT). Above all, Alexandra's approach is client-centered, and focuses on fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship. She aims to provide a warm, authentic, and non-judmental space. Her goal is to help her clients become their own "therapists" by increasing their self-awareness and developing a sense of agency and resilience.
Cost:
$180 for individuals, $200 for couples (receipts will be electronically signed by her supervisor, Dr. Eric Morris)
